end-of-year report
December 29, 2009
Dear Friend and Ministry Partner:
God is on the move and our partnership with you continues to yield fruit, much fruit and, most importantly, fruit that remains. This End-of-Year report will encourage and uplift you. Read and rejoice!
On November 6-11, our Annual Global Conference on Transformation was held in Hawaii and was attended by 410 delegates from five continents and 500 local residents. Below is the eloquent impression of a pastor from California:
“It was truly the most impacting conference I had ever been to! Imagine a conference where the attendees were modern day Esthers, Josephs, and Daniels. Where the speakers and the attendees were the same people. Where 47 nations and 22 states were represented. Where you got to hear what God is doing in China, Japan, Hawaii, Philippines, Okinawa, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, SouthAfrica, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, East Timor, Indonesia, and the U.S. Where Presidents of countries are coming to Christ and being baptized by Marketplace Ministers. Where God’s favor is resting on listening and obedient Pulpit and Marketplace Ministers….God is on the move!”
God was everywhere and the reason why speakers and audience were interchangeable is because everybody was a practitioner with a story to tell. Here are some highlights:
THAILAND:
A missionary serving in Thailand for two decades received training at our
last two conferences and subsequently mobilized his church to pastor the region. As a result, the Regional Mayor came to Christ, took a strong stand against corruption, revamped the public administration and commissioned the missionary “Advisor for Righteousness” to his government. Since then, more than US$7,000,000 in bribes have been returned and are being used to attack systemic poverty in the region. Last month, the Regional Mayor was chosen the best public official in Thailand!
This congregation has grown so much that the pastor does not know
how many people he pastors anymore because new groups are constantly
being formed all over the region!
MALAYSIA:
The owner/developer of a top-notch resort in this Muslim nation dedicated it to the Lord, trained his employees (65% of whom are Muslims) in Kingdom principles and for the past three years his resort has been chosen
as the best in Asia! It is indeed a Kingdom company: it has intercessors who prayer walk the grounds daily, praise and worship music is piped into the lobby, a church operates on the premises and baptisms are held in the swimming pool. Because of his integrity and service to the community he has the trust of local and national officials. Recently, the government of East Timor asked him to rebuild their fledgling nation.
INDONESIA:
Sentul City is a new upper-middle class city 45 minutes south of Jakarta developed by a Christian businessman. This city, with a world-class golf course, shopping malls, a prayer tower and a convention center for 12,000, has been dedicated to God. Righteous managers have been hired, bribes turned down, over one million dollars in back taxes paid. Sentul has become a “Corruption and Greed-Free Zone” where prayer evangelism is the lifestyle of management, resulting in scores of people coming to Christ. And all of this in the very heart of Muslim Indonesia! This story has also been documented in the Transformation in Sentul City & Jakarta DVD.
PHILIPPINES:
Update: After 17 generals came to Christ, one of them was “miraculously” appointed National Police Chief and he is introducing transformation principles to 184,000 officers under his command. This is also visually documented in the DVD Transformation in Parañaque & the Philippines, available on our website.
CHINA:
Right after returning from our conference in Hawaii, a local businessman, along with other delegates, went to the highest peak in Hong Kong to welcome the Lord in. Immediately afterwards he, his wife and their three children took off for mainland China, where he has a factory, to welcome the Lord into it. They arrived at 3:30 am, children in tow, and had a powerful time of worship at the factory led by their 16-year-old daughter on her guitar.
In the morning, he called his 30 top managers to repent for harsh words he spoke following mistakes they made that resulted in the cancellation of a very large order. The managers were moved and the presence of the Lord filled the company. He returned to Hong Kong and two days later received
news that eight large confirmed orders came in from the same client who previously cancelled. Now everybody is becoming a believer!
Upon her return, another conference participant who works with two schools in Hong Kong led both schools, including the principals, the staff and the students, to invite Jesus into those schools as Lord. Transformation is sweeping those campuses now! Her Church also has a medical clinic and she shared the transformation principles with the doctor, the nurses and the counselor who proceeded to dedicate the clinic and its profit to the Lord. Immediately afterwards, their patients began coming to Christ!
THE INTERNET:
The web browser has become the most direct and powerful way to join the community of ordinary people doing extraordinary things for the Kingdom. The finishing touches are being put on our new authority-site: www.transformourworld.org where you will be able to keep up with what God is doing all over the world, connect and begin to partner with other transformational Christians and access top-of-the-line equipping material, most of it for free. Please visit today to create your own free user profile to begin interacting with others, download materials and get inspired for great things!
THE TIPPING POINT IS CLOSE:
My dear friend, transformation is happening! Multitudes are coming to Christ, joining the Church and learning to take the power and the presence of God 24/7 to schools, businesses, government offices, cities and even nations! What we just shared is not even the tip of the iceberg. Because GOD IS DOING SO MUCH MORE! This is why we are rushing to launch our new website so transformation will go “viral” and “sticky” — as techies like to say when something gets out of human control. 2010 is the year when these extraordinary stories will become commonplace as more and more people are exposed to and embrace transformational principles.
This is why we are so grateful for your support. As you may remember, before the conference Harvest faced the financial challenge of its life, but because of swift and generous responses, the $202,000 deficit shrank down to $32,500. We still have ministry bills for that amount and need 1540 additional partnerships of $30 a month to underwrite our budget, along with funding for seven new transformation DVDs ($28,000 each), but we pray the gap will be closed as we report what the Lord is doing. Would you consider making a significant investment in our ministry during this season of giving?
We are an army on the move, conquering territory and equipping former captives to become world changers. 2010 could well be the year when transformation reaches the tipping point. Thank you for everything you have done and plan to do for the cause. Your financial and prayer support are pivotal. We trust this report has encouraged you and prayerfully look forward to hearing from you!
For the entire Transformation Team,
Ed & Ruth Silvoso
P.S. Each of the DVDs referenced, along with our entire library of books, are available at both www.harvestevan.org and www.transformourworld.org. Both sites are also a convenient place to submit any end-of-year giving you wish to make before 2009 expires. Alternatively, you can call Ken Schuler at 1-408-781-7230 to make your last-minute investment into Harvest. Thank you especially for your timely
help before Dec. 31st.
