Mothers are not only special to us, but also to God because Mary carried Jesus inside of her, gave birth to Him, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes —first century diapers— that most likely she made with her own hands.

When sin first entered the world, God became a tailor and made garments for Adam and Eve to cover their nakedness. Mary, the most blessed of all mothers, returned the favor by making the first clothes that God incarnate wore when He made his debut into this world.

I am so blessed to be married to Ruth, a precious wife and also a wonderful mother to our four daughters – Karina, Marilyn, Evelyn and Jesica – who in turn have blessed us with ten grandchildren. During this season when we celebrate mothers, our entire family joins us in praying for you and for your loved ones to be as blessed as the manger was when Mary gave birth to Jesus and placed Him at its center. The manger was an ordinary (perhaps even unattractive) place, but when Jesus was laid there it became the epicenter of life and joy. Let Jesus be the center of your life, your marriage, your family and your home, and He will turn a simple manger into a place where joy unspeakable is the norm. – Happy Mother’s Day from the Silvoso Family
