On Breaking the Spirit of Poverty

My friend Richard Gazowsky, a pastor and movie maker in San Francisco, just posted an excellent blog on breaking the spirit of poverty. it is worth reading.
Here’s a quote: “It wasn’t until two weeks later that I fully realized the deeper message that God was teaching us about breaking the spirit of poverty. In Northern California there is an American Indian leader by the name of Ben who has been a close friend over the years. Ben came to me and said, “Richard, two weeks ago I was in Sonoma County and God said,‘Tell Richard that he is breaking the spirit of poverty which comes from his city’s namesake, St. Francis. God told me this on Saturday, when I was standing in front of the Sonoma Mission, the last mission established by the order of St. Francis.’”
