Thank
you so much for the prayers for our trip to Minneapolis for the ITN
North America Summit. The trip went very well, our kids had a blast
without us. Madi enjoyed the trip too, although we have had to
"detoxify" her from all the attention she received; upon return she
continued to expect us to hold her 24/7. It was a wonderful experience
all around
ITN North America Summit
The
summit went very, very well. Hearing the reports of transformation in
various regions encouraged me immensely: For example, Cal Chinen
shared how this last year the abortion rate in Hawaii was the lowest it
has been in 10 yrs. They believe this drop is a result of their
prayers along these lines. They have heard several reports of divine
intervention to stop abortions, for example one young girl was on the
abortion table when she felt such a strong conviction that what she was
doing was wrong, so she insisted on "aborting" the abortion. As a
result her parents where also convicted and the whole family repented
and got right with the Lord. Cal shared that their dream along with
the Lt Governor, is that one day every abortion provider would shut
down in Hawaii, not just because they had passed a law against it, but
because there was no longer any demand for abortion! This testimony
was particularly encouraging to me because so often while we focus on
the legal dimension of this issue that we forget to address the "supply
and demand" aspect through prayer.
Intercession Track
The
intercession track of the summit went very well also. Fr. Dimitri was
able to join us along with about 8 to 10 Catholic leaders who are part
of his network. One of these leaders came up to me to thank me for the
reconciliation I had facilitated in Argentina. She shared that as a
born-again Catholic, she and her friends hang out in Evangelical
circles quite a lot, and while they have always been accepted, they had
never been affirmed in their identity as Catholics until what we did in
Argentina. It was very moving for me to hear her say this.
Healing the Land
As
part of the intercession track I taught a session on healing the land
and reconciliation. It was the first time I have taught on the things
the Lord has been brewing in me for several years now. The teaching
was very well received. Regarding reconciliation I point out that
while we tend to view reconciliation with Catholics as "denominational"
reconciliation, but the core issue is really "generational"
reconciliation. Reconciliation with Catholics is the primary key to
true reconciliation with the Jews. These three groups represent three
"generations" of the church, the Jews are the grandparents, the
Catholics the parents and us protestants the children. I believe when
these three groups truly come together in Christ, it will release an
incredible move of God like we have never before seen; it will be life
back from the dead," to use the words of Paul. This teaching was
recorded and is part of a new audio cd series by Jay Swallow and myself

What's Next?
Thinks
are moving ahead very well here in the Bay Area. Salinas is making
great progress as a "detonator" city. Next week they will take their
first pass at a citywide mobilization of prayer evangelism ala "My City
God's City." They have launched an adopt-a-cop program to adopt every
police officer in prayer and also an adopt-a-school program to have a
local church adopt every school in the city. A detonator needs
something to detonate; yesterday we had groundbreaking meeting with
about 20 leaders from around the Bay Area we unanimously agreed to
launch a West Coast Chapter of ITN to give apostolic leadership for the
emerging West Coast transformation movement! We are now working out
the details of the next steps for the region.
Argentina Training Trips
We
are putting together strategic teams for our two upcoming trips to
Argentina, the summer trip in June-July and the International Institute
in September. I am very excited about the Intercession Track for this
year International Institute. We will be able to build upon the
historic reconciliation that took place last year to bring to great
visibility the role intercession playing in transformation to address
the historical and spiritual roots of the defilement we see in the
